The participants of the STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her Her project listened to a lecture on the basics of leadership

on" Fundamentals
of Leadership" was held in the building of the UN office in Bishkek for
mentees and mentors of the STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her project. The event was
timed to reveal the key principles and strategies of successful leadership that
will help effectively lead and inspire women and girls in the field of science,
technology and innovation.
The lecture, part of the
STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her project, aimed to build soft skills for girls and
women in the fields of Technology, Science, and Innovation.
Aigul Kalchakeeva- PhD in Economics and
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Korean Institute in Central Asia, she
shared practical knowledge based on academic research and her own experience.
The participants had the
opportunity to explore topics related to strategic thinking, team interaction
and influencing others.
There were 37 women
participants in the lectures, with 15 in person and 23 online. The listeners expressed gratitude to the
STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her project for valuable insights that they can apply in
their daily activities.
The learning events are
organized by the International Public Foundation "The Initiative of Roza
Otunbayeva" within the framework of the Digital x programme initiated by
the UNDP and co-financed by the Government of Japan.

About STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her:
In response to the findings of the “Needs Assessment of STEM Women in Kyrgyzstan” (2023) report by UNDP Kyrgyzstan, the “STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her” project is initiated by UNDP and implemented by the international public foundation “Roza Otunbaeva Initiative” as part of the Digital x Scale Accelerator programme funded by the Government of Japan. The project aims to address the challenges faced by girls and women in STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math).
