About the Foundation
The “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” International Public Foundation is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization established in January 2012. it aims to initiate an implement programs and projects that can contribute to the social, political and, economic development of the country, as well as to the respect and protection of the environment in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The International Public Foundation “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” is a platform that brings partners together to generate and implement innovative and progressive ideas that contribute to supporting development programs targeted at all age groups.
The founder of the Foundation is Roza Otunbayeva, former President of the Kyrgyz Republic, member of the high-level group of advisers on mediation under the UN Secretary General, and member of the Club de Madrid, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan.

Main goals of the Foundation
- Promoting human development, expanding civic participation, strengthening civil society;
- Implementing cultural, environmental and charitable programs and projects;
- Supporting initiatives for peacekeeping, expanding communication platforms on issues of international political, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
