Lecture on “Critical Thinking”
January 17, 2024, 12:28January 14-15, Lectures on “Critical thinking” were held at AUCA
(American University of Central Asia), organized within the framework of the
STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her project. These lectures, part of the STEM4ALL x
Mentoring Her project, aimed to build soft skills for girls and women in the
fields of Technology, Science, and Innovation.
During two days, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted
with the basics of critical thinking and complete practical tasks to
consolidate the topic. Bermet Suyutbekova- AUCA teacher, aroused interest in
the development of critical thinking among the audience.
The topic "Fundamentals of critical thinking" turned out to be
especially relevant in the modern world, where the ability to analyze and
critically evaluate information is becoming a key skill.
There were 40 women participants in the lectures, with 14 in person and 25 online.
The participants, in turn, emphasize the positive changes in their
understanding of critical thinking and express their willingness to apply new
knowledge in their daily activities.
The learning events are organized by the International Public Foundation
"The Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" within the framework of the
Digital x programme initiated by the UNDP and co-financed by the Government of
Japan.

In response to the findings of the “Needs Assessment of STEM Women in Kyrgyzstan” (2023) report by UNDP Kyrgyzstan, the “STEM4ALL x Mentoring Her” project is initiated by UNDP and implemented by the international public foundation “Roza Otunbaeva Initiative” as part of the Digital x Scale Accelerator programme funded by the Government of Japan.
