Sanarip 50+ training sessions for senior citizens were held at the Civic and Digital Education Centres to mark International Older People's Day

On October 3, 2022, the Centres for Civic and Digital Education in the city libraries of Lenin and Oktyabr districts of Bishkek; in the district library of Sokuluk village, Sokuluk district; in the small hall of the district state administration in Lebedinovka village of Alamudun district held training sessions on digital literacy "Sanarip 50+" on the occasion of the International Day of Older People.


The aim of Sanarip 50+ is to help older people to integrate into digital processes.


The training session includes topics such as: smartphone functions, finding information via smartphone, communicating via social media, using email, using an e-wallet for non-cash payments, Google tools and basics of digital tools.


Particular attention is paid to the protection of personal data on the Internet and cybersecurity tips.


The goals and objectives of the Sanarip 50+ project coincide with the goal of the five-year Digital Transformation Strategy, "Digital Kyrgyzstan 2019-2023": Strategy Objective 1 "On creating new opportunities for the population through the development of digital skills" and contributes to the target indicators of the component "Digital skills for the entire population, including vulnerable groups".


The trainings were conducted within the framework of cooperation between the "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative" International Public Foundation and the Civic Education Centre of the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic.
