On 19 December 2011, the
United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 66/170 proclaiming 11
October as the International Day of the Girl Child, recognising girls' rights.
On October 10, 2021, from 10.00 to 16.00, in "Khan-Tengry" hotel,
Naryn city, with the support of UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), a
Career Fair "Ooba, Kyiynmyn!" (Yes. I am strong) for schoolgirls of
grades 9-11 of Naryn region, will be held to mark this day.
Guests of the broadcast,
UNICEF Communications Specialist,
Mavlyuda Japarova, will talk
about the сareer fair for girls from Kyrgyzstan and the opportunities to enter local and international universities.
We will also learn about the main problems and difficulties girls face in our
country, and the methods and
ways of solving them. Karima Jekshenova, who is a participant of a cosmetics
production, creams and care products development project, will tell us about
the age when she first thought of choosing a profession, how she got into the
project, and what successes she achieved in her 15 years.
