School number 69 hosted Knowledge Caravan

On September 21, Knowledge Caravan – mobile workshop on natural sciences was held for students of 7th grades in public school 69. Subject of Knowledge Caravan was “Ecology of Bishkek city”.

The event was held in multimedia training center of school number 69. Representatives of the Public Fund "Taalim Forum" made an interactive presentation on ecology, showed films and social videos concerning respectful attitude towards the environment. By the end of the Caravan speakers divided students into groups and conducted knowledge contest on ecology. Winners of the contest as prizes received interesting books.

It was remarked that students actively participated in this event. It was so many students wishing to participate in the event that the center got so crowded and there were no seats. Students actively participated in discussion giving all sorts of comments, sharing knowledge about the environment and ecology and calling each other take care of the nature.

The event was organized by "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative" International Public Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Education of Bishkek City Hall with the active participation of environmental organizations.

Knowledge Caravan is series of mobile workshops on natural sciences for schools in Bishkek city. The caravan began its work in January 2015 in the framework of the eco-project "Think Globally, Act Locally- promoting environmental responsibility among children and youth" . The eco-project was initiated by the "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" IPF and supported by Christensen Fund.
