A Meeting with the Ambassador of Canada to the Kyrgyz Republic

On November 1, 2023, a meeting was held in the office of the International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" with Alan Hamson, the Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, and Tajikistan.

The meeting aimed to introduce the Ambassador to the activities of the AGECS project. Attendees included Anik Labelle - Senior Development Specialist, Global Affairs Canada; Steve Mason - Regional Director for North America (Programs and Partnerships); Nora Abugendia - Senior Manager for Programs and Partnerships, AKF; and Zahra Sewani - Regional Grants Manager, AKF.

At the outset of the meeting, Roza Kaiykova, Executive Director of the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation, provided information about the Foundation's activities and highlighted priority areas.

Subsequently, Azamat Alagoz uulu, the coordinator of the Ata MENen (with my dad) project, presented details about the project's implementation and its outcomes. Rakhat Mamytkojoev, a representative of the Association of Village Health Committees of Kyrgyzstan and a partner in the project, shared information about the work accomplished.

Roza Kaiykova, on behalf of the Foundation's staff, extended gratitude to the distinguished guests for their support in the implementation of the Ata MENen project, aimed at increasing the participation of fathers in the upbringing of young children, and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
