The program "Celebrities Read to Children" has resumed
October 25, 2023, 09:34Today, on October 25, 2023, at the hospital
school of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, the renowned TV
and radio presenter Aigul Kurmanova, one of Kyrgyzstan's most beloved and
recognizable voices, read a heartwarming fairy tale published by our Foundation
to the children.
Both the reading session and the interaction with
the guest brought immense joy and happiness to the young patients. After the
reading, Aigul shared insights on how reading books influences the development
of one's perspective, the formation of personal opinions, and the ability to
empathize.
Despite their conditions, the children undergoing
treatment in the Oncology Department continue their studies, engage in crafts,
and enjoy artistic activities. We want to highlight the dedicated work of the
teachers at the hospital school, appreciating their professionalism and
kindness. Parents of the young patients expressed their gratitude for the
opportunity given to their children to listen to a fairy tale, socialize, feel
love and care, and enrich their hospital experience.
As part of the event, the Roza Otunbaeva
Initiative Foundation gifted the children with children's books, board games,
and a fruit basket, bringing additional joy and positivity to the young
patients.
The mission of "Celebrities Read to
Children" remains steadfast – to increase the number of adults who read to
children. Reading not only introduces children to the enchanting world of books
but also nurtures their love for reading.
Books serve as portals to a vast realm of
adventure, experience, transformation, discovery, wonder, kindness, friendship,
loyalty, and courage.
The Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation urges
all adults to join this noble mission and read to children. Together, we can
illuminate the world and make it a better place.
