As a part of the Active Women's Civil Society Organizations of Kyrgyzstan for Peace project, an event called 'Poets for Consent, Peace, and Social Unity' took place in the Batken region

On September 18, 2023, in the villages of Chek and Ak-Turpak in the Batken region, poets gathered for this special occasion. Through the medium of poetry, these poets encouraged community residents to engage in collaborative creative endeavors guided by universal values such as equality, unity, tolerance, and respect for each community member's interests and needs.

This event was a part of the Week of Solidarity, a collaborative effort involving the UN Peacebuilding Fund, UN agencies in Kyrgyzstan, state and municipal authorities, as well as members of the public.

The project, Active Women's Civil Society Organizations of Kyrgyzstan for Peace, is jointly implemented by UN Women, the International Public Foundation Roza Otunbaeva Initiative, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, with financial support from the Peacebuilding Fund.
