Master classes were held at the Development Centers on Jailoo in the At-Bashy district

On July 8, 2023, master classes for children and parents were conducted in At-Bashi district as part of the "Development Centers on Jailoo" initiative. The event took place at the Koenduu-Kolot pasture in At-Bashi district.


The master classes were led by teachers from the "Development Centers on Jailoo" including Ilmira Shermatova, an associate professor at Naryn State University and a candidate of pedagogical sciences, and Saltanat Adylbek kyzy, an expert from the International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative."


The master classes covered five areas: "Environment," "Empathy," "Health," "Speech," and "Skillful hands." Kunduz Zhunusova, a teacher from Bash-Kaiyndy Village Development Center, conducted a master class on making straw dolls, wool toys, and drawing. Teachers from Ak-Muz Village Development Center provided a master class on crocheting, embroidery, thread weaving, and making kurut (dried dairy product) and curd. At-Bashy Child Development Center showcased a master class on aquatic animals. The Development Center of Terek-Suu village demonstrated how to make mats and horse harnesses. Additionally, teachers from the Birlik village Development Center prepared various kinds of kurut together with the participants.


In the second part of the event, the children from the centers showcased their talents in singing, dancing, and storytelling, particularly sharing stories about Manas, an epic hero of Kyrgyz folklore. Parents, the deputy head of At-Bashy district Zhanteliev and other guests who attended the event praised the master classes for being both engaging and informative.


The project "Development Centers on Jailoo" has been conducted by the International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" for the past 10 years. This year, around 100 centers were established all over the country, including eight in At-Bashi pastures.
