Today, 14 November, UNESCO's Second World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education (Global Forum) opened in the capital of Uzbekistan.

Agrippina Shin, Minister of Preschool Education of Uzbekistan, welcomed the participants to the forum.  Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director General of UNESCO, opened the WCECCE work programme by saying: "We are all united by the idea of transforming education as the leitmotif of the global agenda. These days we will discuss equal access to education and development, pedagogical innovation and support for mentors - all of which are grounded in UNESCO's fundamental values of human rights. We call on all participants to work for a strong substantive part of the Tashkent UNESCO Declaration, which will reflect early childhood development as an essential part of our common future.

Today, the conference included sessions on "Inclusion, Quality and Welfare", "ECCE Workers and Caregivers", "Policy, Management and Finance", "Program Innovations".   Representatives of the "Rosa Otunbaeva Initiative" take part in the sessions of the World Conference.

We remind that for 10 years Roza Otunbaeva Initiative International Public Foundation has been focusing on development of education in the country, including many projects aimed at support and development of pre-school education in the country and early childhood development.
