World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education
November 13, 2022, 18:43Kendirbaeva Dogdurkiul, executive director of the International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative", takes part in the Second World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education in Tashkent on November 13-17, 2022.
Kyrgyzstan is represented at the conference by the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and Roza Otunbaeva Initiative International Foundation. Today, a delegation from Kyrgyzstan took part in a tree planting ceremony at Bucheon University. A total of 38 fir trees and 18 magnolias were planted in the Alley of Ministers.

Shin, the Minister of Preschool Education of Uzbekistan; Stefania Giannini, UNESCO's
Deputy Director General; Delphine Dorsi,
executive director of the French
organization Right to Education Initiative.
The purpose of the conference was to renew and expand the participation and political commitment of member states in the development of ambitious, relevant and culturally appropriate early childhood development policies.
Constructive discussions and suggestions from member states based on regional and national consultations will result in an outcome document, the Tashkent Declaration, which will provide a framework for action in the coming years in the area of ECCE with a focus on achieving the SDGs.

In the framework of the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education opened an international photo exhibition "WearetheChildren". The large-scale event was aimed to attract people's attention to the problems of growing up and upbringing of preschool children.
Executive Director of the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation Kenderbaeva attended the opening of the photo exhibition and met with Shakhnoza Umarova, head of the Education Department of the Ministry of Preschool Development of Uzbekistan. They discussed possible cooperation between the Foundation and the Ministry of Preschool Education of Uzbekistan. Shakhnoza Umarova noted that she is aware of the projects of the Foundation of the former President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbaeva, namely "Children's Development Centers on Jailoo".
Meetings were also held with representatives of international organizations working in the field of early childhood development.
