Year 2016: Project "Ustat"

As part of the larger Ustat mentoring project, the project "Ustat-3: Peace and Trust: Equal Access to Law Enforcement and Justice", was implemented in 2016.
In 2016, for the first time, the project went beyond the borders of the capital city and was implemented in seven regions: Osh, Jalal-Abad, Naryn, Talas, Karakol, Batken and the Chui region.
In order to promote confidence to the police and raise the prestige of
service in the internal affairs agencies through vocational guidance for high
school graduates on the basis of mentoring to improve gender and ethnic
representation, 25 female police officers, members of the Association of Women
Police Officers of the Kyrgyz Republic, and five male police officers became
mentors for 118 high school students who wanted to enter the MIA Academy and
work in the law enforcement agencies.
