The book Manas, the Heroic Epic of the Kyrgyz (in Kyrgyz, Russian and German), published by the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative International Public Foundation, won first place in the International Book Art Competition

A total of 77 publications from Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the competition. In the 19-year history of the competition Kyrgyzstan, for the first time, won 1 million rubles in the nomination "Grand Prix".

According to the rules of the competition, the winning book in the Grand Prix nomination will be printed and distributed free of charge in the CIS countries for the prize money.

Before that, Manas the Kyrgyz heroic epos in Kyrgyz language; Ballerina, About Art for Children; Spark of Thought, Girl's Book; were published and awarded 1st and 2nd degree diplomas and special prizes in the international contest Book Art among CIS countries.

Since its establishment, the Foundation has been working on building the reading and understanding skills of children and adults, forming the need to read, and popularizing world and national literature among children and young persons by publishing new books. One of its main objectives is to acquaint readers with the lives of remarkable world leaders in their native Kyrgyz language and to contribute to the improvement and development of the Kyrgyz language. All publications released by the Rosa Otunbaeva Initiative International Public Foundation are unique - they are works translated into Kyrgyz for the first time, books on various topics (children's literature, the lives of remarkable people, advice to parents).
