National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic supported the opening of Three 'Development Centres in Jailoo'

In 2022, the National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic supported the opening of three Development Centres in Jailoo. Children at Ai-Kol Development Centre in Leilek district; Nur-Zhaz in Jumgal district, and Nariste in Ton district, received stationery as gifts from the Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Development Centres in Jailoo Initiative has been implemented since 2014 by the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation.

Every year more than 3,000 children in all the most remote and mountainous regions of the Kyrgyz Republic have the opportunity to learn basic counting, writing and reading skills. Master classes in various areas are held for children and parents. Over the years, the Development Centres in Jailoo have provided thousands of children with the opportunity to prepare for school, and the opportunity for creative development. Their lives have become more interesting and diverse. All this is made possible through close cooperation with the state and local governments; sponsors, and volunteers.
