Trainings within the project "Clean Air in My Neighborhood" completed

for residents of neighborhoods around Bishkek were completed. The trainings
were held on the following topics: "The role and importance of ecology in
the life of society", "Ecological gardening and organic
farming", "Ways to reduce household waste and life safety in real
conditions", "Master class on making a compost pit", and "Training on project
writing". Forty-four neighborhoods of Bishkek, as
well as Oskon-Ordo and Ak-Jar neighborhoods, participated in the project. More than 1,000 residents
learned about the project and 450 people were trained on the importance of ecology in
the life of society.
On August 2
and 3, quizzes, prize drawings and a certificate awarding ceremony, were held.
Further
activities of the project, "Clean Air in My Neighborhood", will include collecting application forms to be submitted
to the International Organization for Migration. The International Organization
for Migration will set up a special commission to select five to seven projects to be funded at $10,000 each. The deadline for project applications is
August 20, 2022.

remind you that the International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva
Initiative" together with the State Institution "Innovation
Center" and with the support of the International Organization for Migration implements the project
"Clean Air in My Neighborhood". The International Organization for
Migration gives a grant of $65,000 for projects aimed at improving the
environment. Participants in the project, "Clean Air in My Neighborhood", are eligible to participate in the competition.
The aim of
the project is to raise awareness of internal migrants who live in residential
areas of Bishkek and to build their capacity through training on the importance
of preventing air pollution.
