Year 2014: School of Childhood

For the first time in Kyrgyzstan, teachers and parents had the opportunity to take a one-year training course on the Montessori method as part of the "School for Childhood" project. Eighteen  persons were certified as Montessori teachers from the International Institute of Montessori Pedagogy, Moscow, at the end of 2014. As a result, six private Montessori kindergartens were opened in the capital city of Bishkek, one in Jalal-Abad and one in Tokmok cities. Field study lectures on Montessori pedagogy were held at the Jalal-Abad and Osh State Universities as part of the "School of Childhood" lecture series.

The Foundation continued to work on capacity building of private kindergartens and held a course "Directory" for managers of private kindergartens and centers with the participation of Maria Mirkes (Novosibirsk, Russia). The titles of the lectures held: "How to Raise Children Properly" by Olga Yarova, AUCA; "Balastan" - Elements of Taekwondo for Pre-School Children" by Eduard Khegay, President of the Taekwondo Federation of Kyrgyzstan; a lecture on autism together with the "Hand in Hand Foundation”; a two-day training on the basics of psychoanalysis on "Parents - Children: How to Manage Conflict" by Anna Kudiyarova, Director of Central Asian Institute of Psychoanalysis, Almaty, Kazakhstan; a lecture on financial literacy program for children, "Aflatun" by Bermet Asanbaeva.  For more details, visit www.roza.kg.
