“The Mobile Technology for People 50 Plus Project” is now in Bishkek vocational schools!

The first working week after the New Year holidays was very active.  From 10 January to 21 January, the Project held training sessions for journalism faculty at the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, within the professional development program for physical education teachers of schools in Bishkek, vocational schools № 93, № 17 and № 10. In order to assist teachers of all educational sectors, from pre-school to higher education institutions, the training program was supplemented by educational applications.

The training program included the following topics:

·Fundamentals of Media and Information Literacy;
·Google applications and programs (ability to create online tests, presentations and documents);
·Using social media in daily life;
·Basic financial literacy and using the Elsom e-wallet to handle everyday financial issues;
·Kahoot interactive application;
·Canva mobile application for creating videos;
·Fundamentals of financial security.

Note: The project is implemented by the "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" International Public Foundation in partnership with the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank (KICB). The aim of the project is to teach the elderly to work with smartphones, mastering world internet network, learning to communicate in social networks and messengers, as well as use mobile devices for cashless payments via electronic wallets and use of indispensable mobile applications for every day.
