Training for women activists was held in Batken.
July 14, 2021, 04:57On 12 July 2021,
Osh State University organized a training for women activists from the villages
of Jany-Jer, Internatsional, Maksat and Arka in the Leilek region who were
affected by the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The training was conducted
to teach girls, women and their families how to organize psychosocial support
and provide psychological assistance in crisis situations. The trainers Joldosheva
Akchach, the head of the Department of Psychology at Osh State University, and
Sadikova Rezhan, a practicing psychologist at the Department, provided
practical training on how to manage emotions in different situations, how to
provide psychological support to people in their environment, methods of
psychological support to children depending on their age, and how to deal with
stress.

of the women from the affected villages in Leilek district of the Batken
region, we thank the organizers of the training. Now we are in great need of
help, emotional support and moral and psychological help for those people who
have been stressed. I came to Osh and received a very useful lesson from Osh
State University", - said GulmiraAshirmatova, member of the Jany-Jer local
Council.
This training
was implemented within the project "Empowerment of women and girls exposed
to migration for inclusive and peaceful development of society" by the
International Public Foundation "Rosa Otunbayeva Initiative" together
with the UN Women in Kyrgyzstan, International Organization for Migration,
International Labor Organization, Community Development Alliance, AT&C with
the financial support of the UN Peacebuilding Fund.
