On June 2nd and 3rd, training sessions were conducted for participants of the “Mountain Pasture Kindergartens – Mountain Pasture Development Centers – 2016” project in the Ak-Bashinskii district, Narin District, the city of Narin, and in the town of Baetovo in the Ak-Talinski district. 95 people participated in the training sessions, including Akim deputies from the Kochkorski and Aktalinski districts, representatives from municipal governments, caretakers, teachers, directors from shepherds’ committees and children’s educational centers, and kindergarten directors.

Participants got familiar with the specially-made educational program being introduced to the mountain pasture kindergartens, as well as with new interactive methods that include: developmental events, games for improving logic and critical thinking skills in children of different ages, national games, and certain amounts of ethno-teaching. In addition, the program includes the making of toys from various handicrafts (felt, rock, paper, and others).

During the trainings, participants developed a plan for workshops aimed at discovering and developing children’s artistic abilities, as well as for developing necessary life skills, using the local resources offered by creative representatives, teachers, camp leaders, exemplary student interns, teachers from the S. Naamatov Narin National University, stand-out artisans, and involved parents.

Participants learned new methods for the rational use of local resources and how to find them, received theoretical and practical help during the opening of the new Mountain Pasture Development Centers, and were taught how to begin and conduct the mobilization of the local community.

All the participants supported the Foundation’s cause of improving the quality of services offered at the Mountain Pasture Development Centers, and will implement and use their new-found insight in their work.
