Lectures for directors of Bishkek schools were held in the gymnasium-school № 70

"Lectures about the Ecology" for directors of Bishkek schools were held on November 6 in gymnasium-school № 70. 

 

The first lecture in terms of “The lectures” was held by representative of the public foundation "UNISON" Samat Tsukenaliev, who told participants about energy saving methods and most efficient practices to warm buildings.

 

"Burning the leaves we breathe the poison!" - was the title of the second lecture, presented by Dmitriy Pereyaslavskii from "YRYSTAN" public fund. He told school principals about the harm of burning leaves and methods to use them. For example, dry leaves can be used to make the compost, which is going to be an excellent fertilizer for the soil.

 

Not everyone knows that burning leaves entail the imposition of an administrative fine. The explanation of that issue to school principals, was held by the representative of sanitary and ecological inspection (SEI)of the Bishkek City Hall.

 

The event was attended by directors of 94 schools of Bishkek.

 

This lecture was organized by the "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" IPF in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Bishkek City Hall and with the participation of "Yrystan" and "Unison" public funds.

 

The event is held within the eco-project "Think globally - act locally: raising environmental responsibility among children and youth", initiated by the "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" IPF.
