«Stars read books to children»: Anara Alimbekova - Bishkek Mayor’s Office’s Education Department Lead Specialist

At the October 31st meeting of “Stars read books to children,” Bishkek Mayor’s Offices’ Education Department Lead Specialist, Anara Alimbekova, read a book to the kids. There were around 70 children there. Anara Israilovna read the book “Stories about Keshka and his friends” by R. Pogodin to the children. During the story time, all the lights went out, and after, they read the fairytales by candlelight. The children sat quietly and listened to Radii Pogodin’s storytelling.

As a reminder, the goals of the “Stars read books to children” project are to grow this young generation’s reading skills, show the necessity of reading and instill a sense of value for books, and develop the tradition of reading in families. Through this project school children meet with our country’s prominent individuals and guests from other countries.
