As long as we remember the past, we have a future!

This is a day to remember the great heroism of our fathers and grandfathers. It is a day to recall the great sacrifices of the Soviet people. For millions of people, the long 1,418 days became both a sorrow and an example of unprecedented heroism.

On this day, we celebrate Victory Day and honor those who fought and gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country. We pay tribute to the brave soldiers who fought on the front lines and the civilians who supported them on the home front.

More than 200,000 Kyrgyz citizens fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, and one in five did not return home. The people of Kyrgyzstan, including the workers of the home front, also made a significant contribution to the victory. They worked in factories, plants, fields, and farms, and helped supply the front with food, clothing, and ammunition. Victory was made possible by the strength of our united country and the perseverance of every citizen.

The lessons of the past must not be in vain. Today, we live, dream, study, and work, and we must always preserve our precious and fragile peace.

On this glorious and great holiday, we wish you peace, health, prosperity, and pride in our victory!
