The holiday appeared not so long ago, in 2012, thanks to the initiative of the United Nations. It is aimed to show the modern society the need to respect all the social rights of girls and to inform about the existing problems of gender and social inequality, discrimination, violence, which girls face in the world around them.
All girls need the support of their parents, families and society as a whole to feel safe, voice their needs and be educated to reach their full potential.
The year 2022 marks the 10th anniversary of International Day of the Girl Child, and this year's global theme is "Our Time, Our Rights, Our Future.
On International Day of the Girl Child, we wish all of the world's girls to grow up in happy, loving, understanding, and supportive families.
