«There is an urgent need for Open Educational Resources», says Executive Director of the Roza Otunbayeva Initiative, Jibek Koichukulova.

The Executive Director said these words at the April 29 roundtable "Situation Analysis of the Prospects for the Implementation of Open Educational Resources in Kyrgyzstan" in Bishkek. There are large problems in education here, and Soros-Kyrgyzstan is attempting to address them with a project that creates a framework for the implementation of Open Educational Resources.

"The resources that would unite methodology, textbooks and other materials into the Internet. This content should be available to all consumers of educational services," said Koychukulova.
