A gym and playground were opened in Jany-Jer village of Batken region

On 1 June 2021, International Children's Day, two major events were held in Jany-Jer village of Ak-Turpakvillage administration, Kadamjay district, Batken region, at the O. Abdyrakhmanov Comprehensive School under the project "Empowering Women and Girls Affected by Migration for Inclusive and Peaceful Community Development".


In a competition of local initiatives, Suranova Intipakai won financial support for the implementation of the "Orientation to the future begins with healthy youth" project for construction of a gym, and Azimov Soorbai for construction of "Happy Childhood" playground. Today, the opening of the gym and playground took place.  These sites are very important for the villagers, especially for the younger generation.


The event was attended by Ulziisuren Jamsran, UN Women’s Representative in Kyrgyzstan, Aijan Borombaeva, Programme Director of the International Organization for Migration, Chinara Abdyraimakunova, Project Coordinator of the "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative "International Public Foundation, Meylikan Asanova, Deputy Head of Kadamjay district, Gulbarchyn Osmonova, Head of the Social Development Department of the district administration, representatives of Ak-Turpak village administration, representatives of the school and village residents.


During the event, there was a presentation of the book "Women Who Dedicated Their Love to their Motherland" published in the framework of the project. In Ak-Turpak village there was also an exhibition of local products, chess and family sports competitions "Dad, Mom and Me". The event was accompanied by a concert performed by schoolchildren.
