June 1 – Presentation of S. Djusuev’s book, Тоо жанырткан чагылган (Thunder in the Mountains)

When: June 1st from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

The book, Тоо жаңырткан чагылган, written by national poet Sooronbay Djusaev, is a collection of children’s poems and fairy-tales about the beauty the Kyrgyzstan’s land, flora and fauna, and the interesting lives of children. The book was first published in 1985. This is the second edition, and is being issued in full-color for the first time. While S. Djusaev was alive he was able to personally meet with ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic R.I. Otunbayeva, upon which he gave his consent for the book to be reprinted.

June 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 11th, 13th, 14th – Training for Organizers and Caretakers from the Mountain Pasture Development Centers

When: June 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 11th, 13th, 14th

The IPF “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative,” with the support of federal and local governmental bodies, will be opening 110 kindergartens over the course of the summer, impacting more than 3000 children from all over the country. The goal of the training is to inform organizers and caretakers about the meaning of, unique characteristics of, and different forms of child and parental development, so as to be able to put this information into practice at the Mountain Pasture Development Centers in the future.

June 3rd – “Ustat-3” Project’s Round Table

June 4th – Eco-Project “TazaBISH,” Dedicated to the World Environment Day, Which is Celebrated Annually on June 5th.

When: June 4th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. 

Where: Gareyev Botanical Garden/Fruit Laboratory (Akhunbayev St./Alma-Altinskii St.) 

This is an attempt to clear trash and solid waste from the territory of the Garden. As part of the program, organizers will give participants gloves and trash bags with which to gather trash. Anyone who wants to participate is invited. The “TazaBISH” program is organized by the IPF “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative,” along with the “Archa Initiative” and “Iristan” Public Foundations.

June 4th – Evening of Partner Dances (Organized by the Foundation along with the Bishkek Town Hall and “Rio Social Dance School” School of Partner Dances)

June 8th – Conference on “Mahatma Gandhi and Modern India.”

Where: Бишкекский Гуманитарный Университет имени К.Карасаева K. Karasaev Bishkek University for the Humanities

Objective of the Conference: To discuss Gandhi’s ideas and their impact on modern Indian society and youth, as well as take a look at the multifaceted aspects of the Kyrgyz-Indian relationship, which will dwell on the subjects of scientific exchanges, research, education, and culture. Famous scientists, governmental and social workers, and publishing authors from Kyrgyzstan will participate in the Conference.

June 9th – “Poetry Night” of Young Poets

June 11th – IPF “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative’s” Caravan of Knowledge When: June 11th

Main Goal – To acquaint people with the activities of the IPF “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative,” in particular their focus on the development and dissemination of international and local excellence in the development of human resources. Additionally, the goal is to suggest new initiatives and possible partnerships (connections) with the goal of improving the quality of child developmental services.
