Six Bishkek schools planted more than 1,000 trees

April 3-4 in six pilot schools will be held in Bishkek planting seedlings under the eco-project "Think globally - act locally: improving environmental responsibility among children and youth" International Public Foundation "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva." This event is organized in collaboration with the Office of Education Mayor of Bishkek with the support of the "Fund of Gardening", created in 2012 on the initiative of CJSC "Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank» (KICB) with the support of the Aga Khan Foundation, Public Television and the Mayor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek. Traditionally, Development Network Aga Khan and “Kumtor Gold Company” will attend this annual event.


In order to organize proper fit invited eco-experts Shukurov EJ and Domashov I., which made recommendations for each school to develop a sustainable living system, which includes a variety of types and forms of trees and shrubs. Also in the organization and conduct of the shares contributed to the Botanical Garden, Kyrgyz National Agrarian University. KI Skryabin (KNAU) and MP "Zelenstroy."


For planting trees were selected pilot schools №91, №83, №78, №72, №51 and №2. The purpose of this event is to create a favorable climate on the school grounds, as the landscaping of the school is one of the essential components of the accomplishment of any school site.
