On March 12, "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" International Public Foundation met with leader representatives of Bishkek secondary schools at the school #4. Representatives from 45 schools and “Eco Jashtar” youth ecological club attended the meeting. The goal of the meeting was to present "Think globally, act locally: improving environmental responsibility among children and youth", ecological project which aims to increase civic responsibility and level of environmental culture among children and youth, as well as residents of Bishkek through the transition from the position of an outside observer to the position of an active participant in environmental activities and projects to create a favorable environment in the city for a healthy lifestyle and sustainable development. At the meeting, students were shown educational and social videos to help them increase their ecological awareness. These videos and presentation aroused great interest among students who expressed a desire to take an active part in the project activities and contribute to make Bishkek city clean.
