December 20, 2014, 06:00December 19- Lecture on the secondary education system of China, organized by the Foundation "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" together with the Confucius Institute at BSU. At the lecture were teachers and principals of Bishkek schools, students and teachers pedagogical faculty of Sh. Arabaev, Kyrgyz-China Institute at KNU. In China, the system of secondary education is divided into three stages: primary, secondary and tertiary. Compulsory education is a junior high school, ie 9 classes. The main subjects in elementary school are native language and mathematics. Much attention is paid to labor training, since the 4th grade students 2 weeks a year spend on the farm, doing the work. Also in Chinese schools have a number of different activities to develop the talents of the child: painting, calligraphy, literature, photography, dance, theater, opera, musical instruments, collecting stamps, painting wall newspapers, assembled model airplanes, crafts and others. Training year in China lasts 9.5 months and consists of two semesters. Vacation - from January to February and July to August. Classes - 5 days a week from 7.30 am till noon. In Chinese schools there are on average 5-8 textbooks for every subject per student. To obtain a certificate of school education, students must pass the examinations in the subjects: Chinese language, mathematics, foreign language, physics, chemistry, political science, history, geography, computer science and biology. After high school, almost 80% of entering universities. Grades are on a 100 point scale. In China, it is very prestigious to be a teacher. The teaching profession is respected and is in the top places in the ranking of the most prestigious professions. Teacher's salary is between 2,000 to 5,000 yuan. A large role in the amount of wages plays student achievement, participation and achievement at the Olympics. Recall that in August this year, a group of teachers of mathematics and physics, as well as pupils from Bishkek, Naryn, Talas and Batken attended the High School at Northwest Normal University (Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China).
