Former president of the Kyrgyz Republic, Roza Otunbayeva, was made Professor Emeritus of the K. Tynystanov Issyk-Kul State University

Former president of the Kyrgyz Republic, Roza Otunbayeva, was made professor emeritus of the K. Tynystanov State University. This title was bestowed upon her for her exceptional contributions to the fields of science and education in Kyrgyzstan.

 

Dean of K. Tynystanov Issyk-Kul State University, Kurmanbek Abdyldaev, presented the former president with the honorary pin at a meeting of university faculty and students.

 

Roza Otunbayeva did not expect the honor. “Issyk-Kul State University was always a standard-bearer of education. All of us should care for our children’s future and find pathways to development with quality education. We need energy and persistence to achieve it. Remain a leader in education.”

 

Ulanbek Malikov, chief of staff of the Kyrgyz Government’s permanent representative in Issyk-Kul oblast, commended Roza Otunbayeva on her service and invited her to be a guest lecturer during her next visit.

 

At the meeting where she was honored, the former president talked with students and faculty about her “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” IPF and the problems of preschool education.
