Association of Educational Program Alumni exchange work experiences
January 24, 2013, 06:00Today, 24 January 2013, at the “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” International Public Foundation a meeting of a number of International educational program alumni associations was held. Among the meeting’s participants were representatives of alumni associations from Japanese educational programs (JICA); American programs FLEX, ACCELS, and IREX; the EU “Erasmus Mundus” program; the German DAAD; as well as alumni associations from Turkish and Belorussian universities amongst others.
Over the past 20 years since independence, tens of thousands of Kyrgyzstanis have received an education and raised their qualifications at universities in other CIS nations as well as in countries, both east and the west. Working here or abroad, young specialists maintain connections with each other, form professional networks, develop projects needed by the nation, and implement innovations connecting our country with the economies, cultures, and people of the countries where our students lived and studied. A number of educational associations have started their own branded projects based on global best practices in organizing leisure for residents of both town and city as well as the realization of charitable projects.
The participants agreed to work together and create a network of all educational program alumni with the goal of sharing experiences, consolidating efforts in better utilizing human resources, and the joint realization of projects needed by society and the nation at large. An agreement was reached with regards to the necessity of regular meetings and the creation of a unified informational platform.
