Poetry evening "Zhanmuza" was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
January 29, 2024, 22:49Today, January 30, 2024, the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation held a
poetry evening "Zhanmuza" (Soul Muse) at the Academy of the Ministry
of Interior of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Major General of Police Ergesh
Aliyev (Academy of the Ministry of Interior of the Kyrgyz Republic).
The works of Rysgul Izatova, the winner of the Egemberdi Ermatov
literary prize, member of the National Union of Writers of the Kyrgyz Republic,
and Mirlan Altymysh uulu, the author of the book "Suyology" (Lovelogy)
were performed at the event. The author's evening consisted of three sections,
the poets performed love lyrics, civic lyrics and free themes.
Chynara Abdraimakunova, the Foundation's project coordinator, extended
her best wishes to the students and staff of the educational institution,
hoping that they would leave the poetry evening with a feeling of joy in their
hearts. Cultural education is the main focus of the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative
Foundation. As this was the 46th poetry evening organized by the foundation,
with contributions from 113 poets so far, Abdraimakunova expressed confidence
that the event would promote patriotic sentiments and provide participants with
a moment of cultural and spiritual rejuvenation.
Aizhamal Aitaliyeva, a teacher at the Academy of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs, highlighted the longstanding tradition of the Foundation's
cultural initiatives for students. "We've been collaborating with the Roza
Otunbaeva Initiative for years. While we used to attend poetry evenings at the
Philharmony, it's the first time poets have come to our academy,"
Aitaliyeva remarked.
At the event's conclusion, Ryskul Izatova and Mirlan Altymysh uulu
extended an invitation to young poets to visit the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative
Foundation. The poetry evening drew 200 students from various courses of the
Academy, led by poet Sadyrbek Turdubek uulu and complemented by the melodious
tunes of Nurzhigit Moldoyarov.
The Foundation's Poetry Evenings aim to support both established and
emerging poets while fostering cultural and intellectual enrichment for
citizens and visitors of the capital city, Bishkek. The event was organized by
the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation, with support from the literary club
"Jany Tolkun" (New Wave).
