The first meeting of the Foundation with the diplomatic corps was held

Today, December 8, 2023, the team of the International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" met with female ambassadors and spouses of ambassadors accredited in Kyrgyz Republic in the Republican Library for Children and Youth named after K. Bayalinov. The meeting was initiated by Roza Otunbaeva, former President of the Kyrgyz Republic and founder of the International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative". The event aimed to familiarize participants with the Foundation's activities and the expertise gained over 12 years of work in social and educational initiatives. It also aimed to showcase successful programs and projects while exploring potential areas of future collaboration.

The meeting was attended by female Ambassadors and spouses of the Ambassadors of the diplomatic services accredited in Kyrgyzstan, including Du Deven, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic; Marilyn Cynthia Josefson, Head of the EU Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic; Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kyrgyz Republic Konstantin Zelenti; Spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Zhanar Zhoshybaeva; Spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Leanne Bowler; Spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Catherine Elizabeth Viguerie; Spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Maria Dogan; Spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Zoya Oliynyk Borisovna; Spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Switzerland to the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Rhoda Bangerter; Spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Goda Yuri; as well as Attache of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic Bahar Berdiyeva and Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkiul Kendirbaeva, who served as Executive Director of the Foundation for many years.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Roza Kaiykova, in her welcoming speech thanked the guests for their participation, interest in the activities of the Foundation and time spent on the event, and expressed the hope that this meeting will be a great platform for establishing close ties between the Foundation and the diplomatic corps in the spheres of culture and education, development of civil society in our country.

Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkiul Kendirbaeva emphasized the importance of cooperation with the diplomatic corps and expressed her gratitude for their support of educational projects.

The guests of the event were familiarized with the extensive work of the Foundation in the field of culture and education. The spouses of the ambassadors expressed their interest in the standards of pre-school education, STEM education, publishing activities of the Foundation and possibilities of cooperation in these areas.

The International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" hopes that the first meeting will be only the beginning of long-term and fruitful cooperation with the diplomatic corps of Kyrgyzstan.
