establishment of private kindergartens took place in the Batken region.
These meetings were conducted as part of the "Active Women's Civil
Society Organizations for Peace in Kyrgyzstan" project and were attended
by residents of pilot villages who aspire to open their private kindergartens
at home.
The purpose of these consultative meetings was to provide prospective
home-based kindergarten operators with essential information about the new
requirements for opening a kindergarten. Participants had the opportunity to
receive answers, clarifications, and insights on various aspects related to
kindergartens, including types of kindergartens, training formats, and more.
Key figures who participated in these meetings included Chynara
Abdyraimakunova, a representative of the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation;
Asel Zhakypbekova, the Education Program Coordinator of the Foundation;
Nursultan Beishenbek uulu, a representative from the Ministry of Education and
Science of the Kyrgyz Republic; and Jypara Sherbaeva, the Head of the
Department at the Osh State Pedagogical Institute. These experts delivered
presentations on the unique aspects of preschool children's development and the
essential components for ensuring a child's harmonious growth and development.
During the seminar, Janybek Isakov, the Deputy Authorized Representative of
the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Batken region, acknowledged the
significance of establishing educational institutions for young children.
Osmonbekov Kanimet, the Head of Leilek District State Administration in
Razzakov City, underlined the importance of early childhood development and the
establishment of kindergartens, both public and private. He also expressed the
district administration's and local self-government's readiness to support all
initiators in this field. Nursultan Beishenbek uulu, a representative of the
Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, presented the
government accelerator program, emphasizing its significance for the
advancement of education in the country.
Specialists from the district's sanitary supervision and fire safety
service offered participants all the necessary information concerning the
sanitary and technical requirements for opening private kindergartens and
ensuring a safe environment for children.
Furthermore, attendees were introduced to the resources provided by the
Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Foundation related to early childhood development,
including the Instagram page "After Three, It's Too Late," and a
parenting application called "Thrive by Five". Organizers also
showcased books published by the Foundation for children. After the
consultative meetings, a group of experts participated in a live discussion on
"Batken Media"
These workshops on the establishment of private kindergartens were
organized in response to numerous requests from Batken region residents. They
represent an important milestone in ensuring access to high-quality education
for young children and in promoting women and civil society organizations
engaged in this project.
The "Active Women's Civil Society Organizations of Kyrgyzstan for
Peace" project is jointly implemented by UN Women, the International
Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative," and the Food and
Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, with financial support from the
Peacebuilding Fund.
