The autumn season of "Poetry Evenings" commences

The International Public Foundation "Roza Otunbaeva Initiative" cordially invites you to the enchanting poetry evening, "Starry Evening," scheduled for September 8, 2023, at the serene setting of Yntymak 2 Park.

The Foundation's "Poetry Evenings" initiative is dedicated to fostering renowned and emerging poets, enriching the cultural and intellectual leisure of both citizens and visitors of the capital.

Under the personal guidance of Roza Isakovna Otunbayeva, former President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Foundation has orchestrated 42 poetry evenings since 2016, showcasing the talents of 106 poets. This year, we're thrilled to present the initiative in a fresh open-air format.

The forthcoming poetry evening on September 8th will showcase the literary prowess of:

·       Berdibek Zhamgyrchiev, Recipient of the esteemed "Best Young Poet of the Year" title by the National Union of Writers, holder of the prestigious "Golden Pen" diploma, laureate of the II Republican Festival of Young Poets-Writers commemorating Egemberdi Ermatov, winner of the Grand Prix at the Republican Literary Prize named after Chynybai Tursunbekov, honored as "Best Cultural Worker," and awarded the State Youth Prize named after Chyngyz Aitmatov.

·       Saira Batyrkulova, Accomplished poet, journalist, and playwright, recognized cultural luminary, recipient of the National Television and Radio Corporation accolade, active member of the National Union of Writers of the Kyrgyz Republic, laureate of the Baken Kydykeeva Prize, and author of the captivating books "The Spring of Love" and "The World of the Sea"

·       Melis Mamazhanov, Celebrated for his poetic prowess, Melis is a multi-award winner, triumphing in festivals such as "Best Poet of the Year" and the national project "Five Poets" by TURKSOY. His achievements also encompass victories in the "Young Wave" contest and the esteemed Zaiyrbek Azhymatov Prize.

As a delightful gesture, prizes from "Asylmed" clinic and the "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative" foundation will be raffled among the attendees of the event.
