This year, the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek supported the opening of three Development Centres in Jailoo by donating the necessary stationery to Zarya, Altyn Balalyk and Altyn Balalyk+ Development Centres in Issyk-Kul region.

During the summer months, the Development Centers in Jailoo provide more than 3,000 children, from the most remote and mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, with the opportunity to learn basic counting, writing, reading, and life skills each year. In addition, master classes in different areas are held for children and parents. Early childhood development in high mountain regions plays an important role in implementing programs on environmental protection and ensuring sustainable development of mountain territories.

The Roza Otunbaeva Initiative International Public Foundation expresses its gratitude to the OSCE Program Office for its contribution to the development of children in the high mountain regions of Kyrgyzstan.
