A kick-off meeting with the new mentors of the “Girls in Science” project took place on 25 January

Mentors of the third phase of the “Girls in Science” project:         

• Nazgul Rasulova - engineer-technologist of Kyrgyz Economic University (KEU) named after M. Ryskulbekov, PhD in Economics
• Dinara Tursunaliyeva - vice-rector of KEU named after M. Ryskulbekov. PhD in Economics
• Aigiul Jekshenova - Department of Digital Economics and Programming, KEU named after M. Ryskulbekov
• Ryskiul Akimzhanova - General Director of Bai Elim Company LLC
• Erke Jumakmatova - General Director of LLC "Oimo Studio"
• Aigiul Badakhshanova - artist, graphic designer. Lecturer at Kyrgyz Technical University "Manas"
• Ainura Mamasharip - General Director of “Bilimtek” LLC
• Nargul Asankanova - Chief Business Analyst of the Project Management Department of Doskredobank OJSC
• Bermet Tursaliyeva - Director of brand agency "Ormon"

received background information and got acquainted with their mentees.

The coordinator of the "Girls in Science" project, Roza Kayikova, spoke about the goals of the project and thanked the mentors for their willingness to contribute to the development of girls.

Recall that the third phase of the mentoring programme was launched, where successful and progressive women of Kyrgyzstan, from involved business associations and STEM professions, were selected.

The goal of the mentoring program, to build an effective education system, focused on attracting girls to STEM education and patriotic education.

Within the “Girls in Science” Project (2021-2022), 150 mentors and 2,600 girls from pilot schools in Bishkek, Alamedin and Sokuluk districts of Chui region, and Osh and Kara-Suu districts of Osh region, were selected. Each mentor will be assigned a group of girls in grades 7-10 from schools in cities of Bishkek as a well as Osh and Chui regions.
