COVID-19 information week in pilot schools in Bishkek and Osh cities concludes

The information week on the project "Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 and Increase of General Level of Hygienic Culture Among Schoolchildren in Kyrgyzstan" came to an end. ⠀


During the week, eight pilot schools in Bishkek and Osh, conducted various activities to inform children and parents about preventative measures against the spread of COVID-19. Open lessons, parental meetings, and other activities were organized to inform and instill useful skills and habits in the field of personal hygiene and sanitation in schoolchildren.


As part of the project, a competition was announced among schoolchildren and teachers in Kyrgyzstan for the best classroom lesson script (among teachers of pilot schools), the best script of an information week (among pilot schools), and the best video clip about COVID-19 (among schoolchildren from pilot schools). Winners will be selected next week and will receive valuable prizes.

 

All materials on COVID-19 prevention measures will be posted on the e-learning platform, which was developed within the project. 


The project, "Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 and Increase of General Level of Hygienic Culture Among Schoolchildren in Kyrgyzstan" is implemented by the "Rosa Otunbaeva Initiative" International Public Foundation with support from UNESCO Headquarters (Paris), and in partnership with the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
