Roza Otunbaeva visited Bilimkana School in Kara-Balta town

Former president Roza Otunbayeva, founder of the “Roza Otunbayeva Initiative” IPF visited the Bilimkana-Kara-Balta* school in Kara-Balta town on January 15, 2020 to learn about the life in the school, its students and teachers. This full day functioning school was founded in 2018 and now is attended by more than 200 students. They study in Kyrgyz, Russian and English, and also can choose a second foreign language. During the visit, "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative" IPF had talks about cooperation with the leadership of the “Bilimkana” PF.


Also Roza Otunbaeva visited the educational art project called “Time Machine” - a permanent joint ART project of the “Bilimkana” and the “TOLON MUSEUM”, which has been operating on the school premises from June 1, 2019. The exhibition includes:

• “KONSTANTIN SHKURPELA: BACK TO THE USSR?” Personal exhibition.

• “Victor ZHUKOV and Fedor ZUBAKHIN” Retro-poster exhibition of the artists of Soviet Kyrgyzstan.

• “MAY 5” photo exhibition of the “LINOLUM” group, Natalia Andrianova, Victoria Kholopova, Pavel Bolshakov, Alexei Skachkov, Anatoly Tsybuh.

 


*The “Bilimkana” schools is a network of educational institutions of the non-profit and non-governmental educational organization “Bilimkana” Public Foundation. To date, the network includes 14 educational schools located in the regions of Kyrgyzstan and “Bilimkana Almaty School” opened in 2018 in Kazakhstan. The “Bilimkana” Public Foundation was established in 2011. The mission of the “Bilimkana” Public Foundation is to build a globally competitive new generation of Kyrgyzstanis.
