More than 2,200 children of shepherding families studied at Jailoo kindergartens

Two-thousand two-hundred children of shepherding families gained access to pre-primary school education this summer by studying at 87 yurt kindergartens, said The “Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva” at their foundation October 6th.

 

“For the purpose of creating access to pre-primary school education for children of shepherds, The “Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva” Foundation continued its implementation of the project “Jailoo Kindergarten” and in the summer of 2015 opened 87 mobile kindergartens all across the country. For this, everything necessary for the development of children was prepared, and they made a great effort to help solve any issues on the subject of pre-primary school education here in Kyrgyzstan,” it was said.

 

From June to August at 87 kindergartens, 2,200 children of shepherding families gained access to pre-primary school education, it was announced.

 

For the children, origami master-classes, puppet theatre and sports were taught, films and cartoons and a mobile planetarium were shown, and trainings for parents and children on sanitary food preparation, a mobile digital library, Confucius Institute master classes, choreography, ethics, acting craftsmanship, stars read books to children, painting, dances, handicrafts, and painting with the Montessori method were taught.

 

“Through that, master classes were organized by volunteers from abroad for the kindergarten educators. During their time together, the children learned some of the language and got acquainted with many different things about their countries’s cultures,” said the organizers.

 

As stated by the organization, the meeting for the report on the project “Jailoo Kindergarten – 2015” will be October 8th.
