KUMTOR GOLD COMPANY SUPPORTED JAILOO KINDERGARTEN PROJECT
July 7, 2015, 06:00Last Sunday, Kumtor Gold Company sent stationeries and books to kindergartens located in the mountain pastures in Ton and Jety-Oguz districts, Issyk-Kul province.
Representatives of Kumtor and Roza Otunbayeva Initiative International Public Foundation visited a kindergarten existing in the village of Chon-Kyzyl-Suu, Jety-Oguz district, to hand over the essential study materials.
The Jailoo Kindergarten Project enables children of graziers spending their summertime in the mountains to get prepared for school. Teachers provide three-hour classes daily to foster verbal and counting abilities as well as other skills.
The Jailoo Kindergarten Project is designed to provide education equally accessible to children living in distant Alpine pastures. Yurt-based mobile kindergartens are equipped with everything children may need to acquire basic skills in their preschool age. These kindergartens are also attended by school-aged children due to the general lack of electricity, playgrounds, books, toys, computers and centralized professional education institutions in an altitude environment. After expanding its program this year, the project describes itself as the Child Development Center.
