Results of the study tour to the Office of Turks abroad and related communities under the Government of Turkey

From 8 to 11 February 2015 under the auspices of the International Public Foundation "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" a study tour delegation from Kyrgyzstan to the Office of Turks abroad and related communities under the government of Turkey.

 

The aim of the study visit was to receive and further adapt experience of working with Diasporas and Kyrgyzstanis abroad.

 

During the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of the Office of Turks abroad, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Department of Education and the representative of the National Bank of Turkey.

 

The mass migration of people from Turkey began in 1960, it is worth noting that this country a lot of experience in working with migrants and diasporas. To date, the country has 6 million Turks live abroad. It is the citizens who left the country's borders who made invaluable contributions to the development of Turkey, namely to get rid of external debt through remittances and savings on the basis of the Central Bank.

Saltanat Barakanova - JK KR expert on migration and youth

 

Ainur Umetova - Expert of the financial and economic analysis and monitoring of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic,

 

Bakyt Darmankul uulu - Leading Specialist of the Migration Policy of the Ministry of Labour, migration and youth, who oversees the Turkish direction,

 

Banur Abdieva - coordinator of the project "Forum Mekendeshter" OIF "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva"

 

Jannat Toktorbaeva - Project Assistant "Forum Mekendeshter" OIF "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva."

 

Members of the delegation are full of ideas and plans for adaptation and application of lessons learned in Kyrgyzstan.
