Invitation to the lecture “Step-by-Step – on the way to success!”
January 21, 2013, 06:00The Roza Otunbayeva Initiative continues its lecture series aimed at familiarizing parents and educators with various methods and methodologies in early childhood education and presents the next lecture dedicated to the educational program “Step-by-Step”.
Founded 20 years ago, the program has proven itself as one of the most successful educational practices in over 25 countries worldwide. One way of describing the “Step-by-Step” is as a pedagogical answer to the challenges of the modern open world of globalization.
Often parents waste a lot of time and energy trying to develop their child’s creativity and open their talents, forgetting that a guarantee of a child’s future success lies not only in their talents but also in their ability to apply their talents in daily life.
The main goal of the program is the development of skills and abilities for the child’s future success in life and society such as critical thinking, independence, responsibility, the ability to make informed choices and defend them, an awareness of the world’s diversity and unity, and the ability to listen to others.
The unique characteristic of the “Step-by-Step” program is that the parents and family of the child participate in the development and education of the child alongside the teachers.
The program is built in the principles of inclusiveness, equal access, diversity, and taking into account the inclinations of each child.
The lecturer will be Tatiana Matokhina, an expert in the “Step-by-Step” program. Ms. Matokhina represents the Educational Initiative Support Foundation, which is a certified franchisee of the “Step-by-Step” program.
