2nd Annual Festival of Education (April 2014)

February 14, 2014, 06:00

We are preparing for our second Festival of Education, in what we hope will become a wonderful Bishkek tradition.

Given the high demand for technical specialists in Kyrgyzstan, this year’s Festival will focus on encouraging creative, scientific and technical young minds. It will showcase educational opportunities in engineering, vocational, and information and communication technologies in the Kyrgyz Republic. A particular focus will be paid to promoting knowledge and education in the field of bio-cultural diversity and the diffusion of traditional ecological wisdom.

Our Festival is a two-day event with a array of interactive classes spread over a number of sites around Bishkek, including “Bilimbeka Laboratory,” “Education for All,” “Sports Class,” “Concert and Theater Class,” Fairy Tales,” “Trade Fair” and “City Masters”

The first day of the festival will take place on the campus of the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University (KTSU), which is marking its 60th anniversary this year.

As last year, the second day of the festival will take place around city center (Old Square, Oak Park, State History Museum, and Seitek National Center for Children and Youth).

We are open to your comments and suggestions and/or interesting ideas for projects to do in conjunction with the event!
