“Conference of the Birds”
I. Summary and Goals
‘The Conference of the birds’ by Farid Ud Din Attar a 12th century Sufi poet in the form of a story. The story is about a flock of birds who go with the Hoopoe bird to find their King and their challenges and adventures along the way.
l Goals:
• children learn to be confident performers,
• work together c-operatvely,
• negotiate issues,
• discover their talents and strengths,
• have fun,
• earn to respect each other etc.
• improve their language and thinking and diction (speaking skills of English)
• Improvise their own dialogue (under a supervision of a trainer)
We are all have been given a gift and sometime we do not even know what it is until one day something magical happens to us like to those birds in the story. Production of “Conference of the Birds” is also an attempt to bng together children of different international schools to produce something together.
Why “Conference of the Birds”- It’s a story that works at different levels, so the younger ones can see it as a story, older ones realised its a metaphor for an internal journey etc. It appeals to wide range of audience both adult and kids. The story has lots of characters, so lots of children can participate in the Production of Musical.
2. How do we see this Production?
We are not looking for a perfect production. We would like to take children and their parents through a process, where children will strength their skills and gain confidence in speech and learning about realistic dialogues of time.
We are not going to exclusively search for most brilliant students, but also give room average children too. We would like to give them an a chance in a crowd to try things out, to believe in something they have achieved.
3. Logistical, Financial and Technical side of the Production.

Location for a final Production: we will inform you in advance.

*1st of April we will not have a workshop as it coincides with the beginning of a spring break.

Production date: 15th of May.
Staff: Natalya Lebedeva-music (Choir, working on a small orchestra) Tofik-percussion trainer, Munira Chudoba-Acting, Choreography.
Fees: 3000 Som (*Second sibling will have a 50% discount)t.
4. Partnership: We are hoping for a positive feedback towards the first collaborative work with local educational institutions such as “Ustat Shakirt”, Initiative of Roza Otunbaeva. We are hoping to find contribution of expertise, voluntary work during production, sale of tickets, distributing flyers for the Production and ect
