Invitation to the First Lecture “The Origins of Fine Art in Ancient Kyrgyzstan”

We invite you to the first lecture, “The Origins of Fine Art in Ancient Kyrgyzstan”,
which will take place on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013.
 

Cinema Hall of the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Art 

ul. Abrdrakhmanov, 196 

Event begins at 18:00. 

 

Lecturers: 

- Kubatbek Shakievich Tabaldiev: Professor at the Kyrgyz-Turkish University “Manas”, famous historian and archeologist, author of many scientific works on archeology including the books “Ancient Monuments of the Tien Shen” and “Monuments Written in Stone” 

- Gulcherkha Iskenderovna Toktosunova, art historian, member of the Kyrgyzstani Union of Artists, Honored Worker of Culture of the KR, docent, and correspondent member of the National Academy of the Arts of the KR 

The lecture is dedicated to the ancestors of Kyrgyzstani art culture – rock paintings, the works of ancient masters that created advanced molding techniques, and potters and architects that lived in the era of the blossoming of art. The lecturers will talk about the development of national art and its importance in the later development of professional fine art. Products of Kyrgyz craftsmen, shyrdak, ala-kiyiz, tush-kiyiz, are an expression of the philosophy and worldview of the Kyrgyz.

Medieval Era and the Flowering of Art. 

Content and semantics of the ornamental motifs in the works of craftsmen. 

Cosmological nature of thought in the artistic creations of the people. 

Reflections of the Kyrgyz past in the professional artistic works of the modern era (based on the works of Jumabaev, Bakashev, Unmetov, Akynbekov and others)
