Announcement of the beginning of the “Ustat” mentoring project application process

The "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative" International Public Foundation in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute announces the beginning of the application process for individuals interested in participating in the "Ustat" mentoring project for young women. 

We are proud that, at the highest levels of power, an entire constellation of women leaders, members of parliament and the government, as well as the heads of leading government agencies and institutions is at work and in action. 

They have knowledge and experience in social and political management as well as life experience and are ready to share this with young women, whose efforts are aimed at service to their homeland. 

The purpose of the "Ustat" project is aimed the capacity-building of young women in public and political administration, by providing leadership skills, critical thinking skills, and experience in policy and decision-making concerning political, public and state construction through the encouraging of young, capable and women with a desire for self-realization. This will be achieved through the active cooperation between women instructors (Mentors) and young professional women (Mentees). 

Kyrgyzstani citizens that have completed the application (see below) may participate in the competition. Participants will be selected by the following criteria:

Kyrgyzstani citizens currently living and/or working in Bishkek

Female;

25-35 years old;

High Education;

No less than three years of professional experience;

Public and social work;

Analytical skills;

Personal qualifications: active, responsible, strong communication skills, self-confident, optimistic, competent, and advanced speaking and writing skills

Ability to work under deadlines. 

The accepting of the applications begins on April 8, 2013 at 10:00, Bishkek time. The last day for submitting an application is May 26, 2013 at 16:00, Bishkek time. Applications submitted after the acceptance period will not be considered for participation.

A paper application can be obtained at: The "Roza Otunbayeva Initiative" International Public Foundation, 106 Prospekt Chui, Bishkek, office 108 (in the Ministry of Economics building), with a note stating: "For the “Ustat” Mentoring Program Contest Committee”. 

The application is available in Kyrgyz and Russian. 

Competition results will be published on a Foundation's website www.roza.kg (the link of the page of the project) no later than 5 days after the being chosen by the contest committee (on April 30, 2013).
