Resource centers within the project "Sanarip 50+" were opened in Osh and Jalal-Abad regions
February 29, 2024, 22:01International Public Foundation Roza Otunbaeva Initiative with financial support of Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank within the project "Sanarip 50+" on February 28 and 29 held the opening of Educational Resource Centers in Osh and Jalal-Abad regions on the basis of Regional Methodological Centers.
On February 28-29, within the framework of the project "Sanarip 50+" the opening of the Educational Resource Center in the city of Osh on the basis of the Osh Institute of Education was held.
The project provides assistance to Regional Methodological Centers of Osh, Jalal-Abad, Naryn and Talas regions for opening or full functioning of Resource Centers by providing the necessary equipment and conducting trainings on digital literacy.
The main goal of the project is to create centers where knowledge on Information and Communication Technologies will be available; to create favorable conditions for conducting trainings on ICT, professional development, etc.
The opening of the resource center in Osh was attended by Director of the Osh Institute of Education, representative of the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank - Osh Branch Manager Talantbek Avazbekov and representative of the Foundation Bekjan Otorov, as well as staff of the Institute and teachers from districts of the Osh region. Gulmira Turdubaeva, Director of the Osh Institute of Education, noted that the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative has been making a great contribution to education for many years and thanked the Foundation and Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank for facilitating the opening of the resource center on the Institute's site and expressed their desire for further cooperation.
On February 29, the Resource Center was opened in the city of Jalal-Abad on the basis of the Jalal-Abad Regional Methodological Center. The representative of the Roza Otunbaeva Initiative Bekjan Otorov, the representative of the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank, the head of the Jalal-Abad branch Kursantbek Atabekov, the staff and the head of the Jalal-Abad RMC Toktosunov Akylbek, as well as teachers of schools and universities of the districts of the Jalal-Abad region took part in the event.
After the opening ceremony of the resource centers in Osh and Jalal-Abad, the participants of the event received training on digital literacy. Most participants expressed the need for similar training at the national level.
The Foundation thanks the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank for its valuable contribution to the development of education and digital literacy in the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
