February 14 - At the secondary school № 84 (in Ak-Orgo), the first event in the "Caravan of Knowledge: Mobile Natural Sciences Workshop" was held. Representatives of the public fund "Taalim Forum" gave students of 10th and 11th grades a presentation of environmental issues in Bishkek, showed the documentary "Positive City" and held a quiz. According to the results of the quiz, students had books published PF "Taalim Forum": popular encyclopedia "Wildlife of Kyrgyzstan", as well as educational books and coloring for their younger brothers and sisters. After the event they shared their impressions: • "I really liked the film and quiz" - a student of grade 10. • "I really liked this eco-project because we need to preserve the purity of Kyrgyzstan, it is necessary to make a contribution" - Sultanbek kyzy Miraida, a student of class 10. • "At the moment the most global issue - it is a problem of ecology. People are just now beginning to understand the harmfulness of waste. Therefore, before blaming others we should start with ourselves. Young people can do many things. As a young person, I must act on this issue myself. It would be nice if more come to us and our teachers and taught these things "- Chinar, 10 class. • "If people are constantly throwing garbage anywhere, the earth will not be a clean place. We cannot leave any trash to our children. This is what we should be thinking about now "- student of 10 "B" class. "Caravan of Knowledge: Mobile Natural Sciences Workshop" was initiated by the International Public Foundation "Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva" and organized in collaboration with the Department of Education of Bishkek City Hall with the active participation of environmental organizations. The caravan began its work in the framework of the project "Think Globally – Act Locally: Promoting Environmental Responsibility Among Children and Youth" and the 3rd Festival of Education, to be held in April 2015 and which will focus on environmental issues. The goal of this year's Festival is to promote environmental education and mobilization, eco-culture and eco-consciousness, as well as promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering a sense of environmental responsibility.
